New EcoRecord by Goetz Oestlind presented at Norddeutsche HiFi-Days in Hamburg

Sonopress produces first EcoRecord for the world of classical/ neoclassical music

Debut in Hamburg. At Norddeutsche HiFi-Days, which took place on 1 and 2 February 2025, the latest neoclassical release by Dr Goetz Oestlind entitled ‘BUILDING BRIDGES BETWEEN WORLDS’ was presented to the public for the first time as an EcoRecord. Dr Oestlind, a renowned composer and musician, has generated more than 130 million streams on major audio streaming platforms in recent years and won major awards, including the ‘Hollywood Music in Media Award’.

Sonopress has produced the transparent EcoRecord, which is characterised by its first-class sound quality, in close collaboration with Goetz Oestlind and the Thorens team. The recording includes two compositions by Oestlind, the ‘Fantasy for Piano & Orchestra in B Minor, Op. 8’ and the ‘Piano Sonata No. 6, Op. 8’ and offers a unique sound experience.

The presentation of the first EcoRecord with neoclassical music was celebrated enthusiastically by the audience. The recording was played on the world-famous ‘New Reference’ turntable from THORENS, which is renowned for its outstanding audio performance and guarantees optimum record tracking.

In recent months, Sonopress has already realised numerous pop and rock productions as EcoRecord. About Goetz Oestlind

Dr Goetz Oestlind (*1977) is a renowned composer and musician who lives in Hamburg. With his latest release, the EcoRecord ‘OESTLIND - BUILDING BRIDGES BETWEEN WORLDS’, he presents on side A the previously unpublished composition ‘Fantasy for Piano & Orchestra in B Minor, Op. 8’, which was recorded in collaboration with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and pianist Sergey Belyavskiy. Side B contains his ‘Piano Sonata No. 6, Op. 8’. Over the past five years, Oestlind has achieved outstanding success, including winning the ‘Hollywood Music in Media Award’ in the category ‘Outstanding Instrumental Performance’ in 2021. He has also composed the acclaimed ballet productions ‘Jahreszeiten (Richmond Ballet/USA, world premiere 2021) and ‘See the Music (Hear the Dance)’ (Ballet des Moines/USA, world premiere 2025). Since 2020, he has achieved over 130 million streams as a composer on all major audio streaming platforms.
